An ancient, sprawling city of marble now left to decay deep under the Eternal Blue's waves. Filled with treasure... and danger.
Previous sailors have made their final resting place among the treacherous shoreline- adding their ships to the menagerie of rocks to avoid.
A final trial awaits where the Ruin's highest point pierces the Eternal Blue like a spear into heaven. Once steadfast marble has crumbled into horrible decay. Fate holds its breath as you discover what treasure really awaits you.
An ancient, sprawling city of marble now left to decay deep under the Eternal Blue's waves. Filled with treasure... and danger.
Through peculiar means of fate, you stumble across a strange marble barnacle. Whether swept in from the sea on your afternoon walk near the beach, grafted to your vessel's hull, or some other circumstance beyond the tides of time and space. Regardless; it is now within your possession - an ethereal aura radiates from it within your palm, as if it had guided your very soul to this exact moment.
A brilliant flash of eldritch light gleams from its rocky centre. A voice booms from the effigy: announcing themself to be Captain Leviathus Barwick, legendary pirate of the Millennium Tide. He and his equally mythic crew vanished without trace over a thousand years ago, yet within your hand echoes a clue to their fate. The voice speaks once again with postulation:
“Beyond sea and skies lies a legendary kingdom, untouched by the ravages of time nor ordained by the directions of a compass. Uncharted. Until now. I offer you an accord. Whether it be Riches! Fame! Power! Raise your sails. Chart your course and set forth for your eternal reward.”
Suddenly, you find yourself falling through the very currents of reality itself. Casting forth from the impossibly vast waterfall that spirited you away, you come across a grand sight told only in etchings of legend: the Eternal Ruins.
Beyond sea and sky, this nautical megastructure has stood the test of time and constant flooding for over a millennia. Great volumes of water fountain down from its sectioned marble layers. Too vast to measure, even the tallest mountains in the world fall short in comparison, making the endless dimension of sea surrounding it seem dwarfed by its unmoving presence.
Archipelagos of shipwrecked coves and crude piers suggest you have not been the first explorer to set sail within its domain, nor have those adventurous been fortunate in seeking what lies beyond. Spiraling from the Ruins’ apex brews an unholy storm on the endless ocean ceiling; drawing in those who have stumbled upon this ancient kingdom- both the reluctant and adventurous- to seek out its wonders. The unnatural currents shift and churn, as if ushering you closer. There is no turning back, as the Captain’s message remains vivid in your mind.
Brave whatever dangers are present in this oceanic realm and reach the top of this sunken city. Fate has charted your course, now you must set forth to seek out your truths to the legend once and for all.
However, your troubles are far from over. Within this endless dimension of blue, the reality spanning waterfalls continue to rain down. The waters are rising, and so must you. The ruins will be your only source of sanctuary across these uncharted waters. Be warned: this realm carries with it omens of stagnation and curses- suggesting whatever fate may lay ahead, death may be the least of your concerns.
Perhaps there's a reason why these legends were best left to rest beneath the waves. Dead men tell no tales, after all…

"The Eternal Captain of the Ruins, Barwick oversees his sunken kingdom with a stone fist. Once a legendary pirate of the Eternal Blue who sailed a thousand voyages with his equally mythical crew, now a crestfallen tyrant banished from the sea and bound to the ruins he once tried to conquer. He now sits alone upon his basalt throne, patiently awaiting the next lost souls to step foot into his domain."

"Where those who wander there is a shepherd to guide them, even in the deepest depths to the endless beyond. Be wary of cruel waters lest the Shepherd finds you. How Barwick convinced an aspect of Death itself to join the crew is shrouded in mystery, but what is clear is she's now trapped in the very waters of the ruins."
